A long awaited cash on William Hill

in General

Played the William Hill Christmas Cracker £1000 added + F1 driving experience which is part of their Christmas schedule and there’s all sorts of massive value.  Also thought i’d pop in the Super Series £7.50 + £1000 added which is simply the best value on the internet with a good structure and not too many runners.

Didn’t last too long in the Christmas cracker as it’s only 1500 chips and 10 min blinds so got to gamble quite early to get chips and grab some dead money.  Didn’t play many hands then get A10 mid position with early limper and i’m on 10bb so jam it in and walk into AQ behind me but river the straight.  A rare suckout that happens in insignificant spots but still the right play most of the time.  Didn’t last much longer after picking up KK, early raiser, i re pop, another re pops all in and the blind flats.  Flop comes Ace high, the flatter shoves and he obviously has the Ace but semi tilt and 4/1 says that my kings are good.  So shover has AK and flatter has AQ because he was obviously good pre flop.

Attention focuses on Super Series and pick up some key hands with 13k at the break.  Big hands are only good when fish think Q10 is good after a re raise pre flop.  My QQ is good on the 10 high flop.  Few hands later get 99 raised up and 4 handed gives me a free a look at the 9 coming on the turn and the AK pays me off.  Nursed the stack for a long time then a few late raises being 3 bet from the blinds and a stop and go on me, it cost me a few chips.

Reaches bubble time and dwindled down to around 15bbs and tough to get involved in any hands.  Survive an all in then end up with Q10d shoving in the cut off with 6bbs and called by the button with AQ but river the straight for the suckout.  Keep my survival short stack strategy up and i’m down to 10,800 on 1200/2400/300 and get K3s in the cut off with a fish overshoving and I have two short stacks behind me and elect to fold due to that based on this despite the massive odds i’d rather push than fold.  Anyway I woulda won the hand and up to 4k (2 short stacks called AQ and QJ) but regardless of the fact I think it was a bad fold with the stack that I had and the price.  Survived an all in next hand so get safe again and then end up pushing A9 utg with 6bbs and typically walk into KK and bust 17th for £34.50.

Don’t really like writing about the tournaments I play in but since it’s been so long since a multi cash it just feels good again.  Can’t knock the value and with plenty of bad players it’s something i’d like to play every week if I get the time.
