Investing in Other Poker Players

in General

Pound Coins and note

For the past few months i’ve been seriously considering completely giving up poker but of course that is just not possible as the buzz of winning something is always good.  I have really reduced the amount of poker i’ve played recently to about once a week which is mainly due to my time spent running Newcastle Poker Forum but mainly the fact that i’m a complete lazy twat and have no desire for the game.  I don’t even play the Monday night NPF tournament on PokerStars anymore.

I know fine well that i’m not a winning player eventhough it seems that 90% of players make out that they are winners.  Poker has cost me money as well as time that could have spent doing much more valuable things.  So now I think i’m really gonna stop trying to hit that ‘big one’ to concentrate on some other things I can be successful at.  I still have a strong interest in other people so i’ve started to invest in other players who have the ability to succeed.

I’m already part of a 3 way, long term investment in two online players to play SNGs which so far is going pretty good and hope to have a return on the investment.  Just recently, I made a small £50 investment in pads1161 from NPF to play the £250 and £200 side events at the Newcastle GUKPT.  He’s a student and I thought it would be a good investment based on his analyticical posts on the forum, the few times i’ve seen him play and what i’ve heard others say too.

So i’ll be looking to be making some more investments in the future instead of investing in myself.  I know what good deals are and i’m only looking for investments that are favourable to me.  I’ve seen too many people who think they’re the dogs bollocks and asking for deals that are just in favour for the player and is just a way of getting free money.

Anyone that thinks they are worth investment, contact me and i’ll give it a think.  I’m mainly looking for 50% stake for 100% equity but open to other offers depending on the tournament/risk involved.

No worries, you played well and I was happy to see you go deep. I’d invest in you again when an appropriate tournament comes along.

I have been playing poker for about 3yrs now. I’ve currently fallen upon some very hard times finacially. I went through a bad marriage in which I had three kids. I also lost my job as a loan officer a whole year ago and have been unsucsessful in finding another job. I am just now getting divorced and I am completly broke. I play4-8 cash limit poker and 40 dollar no-limit holdem in order to pay my child support and for my necesities. I do not play on the internet! I am a much better live player. I love the live Game! Im looking to move to Vegas before the end of this year. I need someone who is willing to invest 20K in me as a loan. I am flexible with the terms of this loan! I have all the motivation in the world to make this work for the both of us. Please Help! Email me if you can help. I will give you all the information you need to make your decision easier.

Hello. My name is Paul. I am an experienced poker player with a lot of leisure time. I have won numerous Texas Hold’em tournaments, especially on FullTilt Poker. The only hindering of my success is that I only have a limited amount of money. Recently, I have deposited 20 dollars on FullTilt. By three weeks I had 90 dollars. It would be greatly appreciated and beneficial to others who choose to invest in me. I am willing to split any winnings 50/50. I am not quite sure how this agreement would work but I am a very honest man and would not cheat anyone out of their money. I will post updates to the investor on every dollar that I play and my winnings. Please contact me at nikechamp51@yahoo.com Thank you.

Hi. I am 51 years old & have been playing poker for 35 years. I used to have a successful vending business grossing over $400,000. per year, but recently sold part of it & closed the rest due to the economy. I went through a major fire, where I lost over $100,000. in items, sold my house & in a poor real estate market & took a big hit on the sales price. I am going through a divorce. I am an excellent poker player & am looking for a partner to back me. I have been playing semi-pro for 20 years in Atlantic City, NJ. I have played on-line, but I have better chances for winning playing live cash games, as I have an astute ability to read players. I am a very good stud & hi-low player. I have played some of the top pros in the poker world & beat them including; Tom McEvoy, Ron Rose, Phil Ivy, Ted Forestor & others. I have placed in tournaments. I am good at money management & can get away from good hands, if I feel I am beat. I am in the process of selling the rest of my vending equipment & want to spend time playing poker. I want to go to the WSOP & enter satelites & play live cash games. I play NLH & LH, but I have an advantage playing stud, as I count the cards that have been dealt & figure the probability of making my hand versus pot odds. E-mail me if you are interested.
