Would You Split or Steal on Golden Balls?

Just thought i’d give my mate and fellow coworker (dreamdobb on NPF) a shout out as he’s down in London today to record a show for the ITV show Golden Balls.  For anyone that knows him, he’s a very funny guy and when he put in his application for the show I was very sure that he would get selected.  Infact, the producers totally loved him and couldn’t wait to get him on the show.  Atleast I hope he gets to split or steal as that’s the best part of the show and would be a massive anti climax if he gets busted early.

Golden Balls is a great show to watch when you come in from work as it’s interesting to see the people who are full of shit and selfish bastards.  I’m a big splitter and would probably always split even if I thought the other person was stealing.  Here is my theory:

If you split and the other splits, you win.
If you steal from someone and they split, you get the satisfaction of stealing from someone. Wow that must be such a good feeling to know that that you’ve just robbed someone by deceiving them.
If you steal and so does the other person. Well this makes you the biggest loser as no one wins except the producers.
If you split and the other steals, well you still gain as it’s the same satisfaction is giving something to someone.

People just need to stop holding grudges with people and giving the shit that “oh I stole because I thought you were gonna steal”.  Well why be so fucking selfish?  If they are gonna steal, then they are gonna steal.  You don’t OWN that money so why do you have the right to protect yourself?

The best way to win on Golden Balls is to split and try and influence the other person to split as well.  I believe that everybody has the chance to change someones opinion even if they said they were gonna steal all the way.  At the discussion bit, don’t talk about yourself, about the things you need or the things the money would do for you.  Instead you want to to talk about the other person’s needs and tell them how splitting will get them the things they want.  I would also drop in the guilt trip as this works wonders.  Tell them that they can steal and that you don’t mind if they do but you will be splitting regardless.  Suddenly that puts them on the defence and gives them doubt that stealing would be bad.

However, I’m never gonna be on the show to try and put these theories into practice and even if I was on the show I’d probs bubble cos I run so shit.

As you can see I feel very strongly on this subject as it’s something I relate to in real life where you have to put up with selfish greedy arseholes who only care about 1 person.
